Blue Parlour is a creative community and curatorial project sharing the work of artists exploring sex, sexuality and the erotic in their work.
Art that explores sexuality - or that is perceived as doing so - is all too often sidelined or devalued under the label erotic art. It’s censored by the powers that be or co-opted by commercial initiatives looking to profit off otherwise marginalised identities and subcultures.
Blue Parlour is a network of creatives who want to talk about sexy art away from the repression that’s responsible for that devaluing. Away from the politics responsible for that censorship and co-optation. Away from those concerned with defining obscenity for legal purposes.
If you are an artist whose work involves the exploration of sex, desire, fantasy, or any aspect of sexuality in its infinite forms, we want to share your work and connect you with other artists, creative professionals, writers, academics, sworkers and adult entertainment industry professionals.

Connect artists with other professionals
We want to connect artists with professionals working in other fields. This includes writers, researchers, academics, journalists, psychologists, sexologists, sex educators, sworkers and adult entertainment professionals.
Encourage discussion and collaboration
